IS HE?

Jesus Christ is God!

Thomas, declared to Jesus Christ after His resurrection from the dead…MY LORD AND MY GOD!!

But YOU must ask and answer that question for yourself.  Is He your God?

Have you ever used the phrase as an exclamation – Oh my god!  ?

If so, what or who is your god?

Everyone has a god.  At least one.

It may be that you worship and adore yourself

or your lover,

or your money,

or your favourite sports, or movie, or music or cartoon star.

Your god may be a well known author or chef.

What or who ever it is that is your god, you have a god.

But if it is not Jesus Christ who is your God, all other gods cannot save you from your guilt and sin, and shameful known or secret past.

If your God is Jesus Christ, and you use that exclamation noted above, you are blaspheming and profaning Him who is holy, and who alone can deliver you from the wrath to come.

Do not swear at all by any god or anything in Heaven or in earth, for one is your God and you must serve Him in holy fear and devoted love.

Blasphemers will not inherit the kingdom of God.

If you do not answer yes to the question is Jesus Christ your God, you are automatically stating that you know better than Jesus Christ, regardless of whetehr you believe He exists or not.

If you do not get out of bed and you have the power to do so, you have already decided that you will remain in bed.

If you are hungry and you do not feed yourself when you have the ability to do so, you have decided to remain hungry.

If it is dark and you do not switch on the light when you can switch it on, you have decided to remain in the dark.

If you do not start your journey, and it is in your power to do so, you have decided not to go.

If you do not say Jesus Christ is God – YOUR GOD! when you are able to do so, you have decided already who is God…

….simply because you set yourself above Jesus Christ.

Jesus Himself asked His disciples, “WHOM DO  YOU SAY THAT  I AM?” Matthew 16:13-16.  The question is valid and must be answered by every single person.  When people resisted the message Jesus Christ preached He did not threaten them with physical force. And He showed the kindness of God to the people who came to Him for help.  He even healed the man’s ear that Peter had cut off with his sword, when He was being arrested.  And Jesus also told Peter to put his sword back in its sheath.

Some religions have forced people under threat imposing taxes, or threatening with physical punishment, or even death if they do not accept their religion.

Jesus did not do that.  That is not love.  That is coercion.  Jesus simply told them that if they did not repent and believe in Him as God’s Son, that they could not enter into God’s eternal Heaven and would be cast into Hell on Judgment day.   Jesus made it plain t o people that there were two destinations after this life.  Only two.

One was the Kingdom of Heaven, also called His Father’s House (see mgospel according to  John ch 14), or Paradise (see gospel aqccording to Luke 23:43; 2 Corinthians 12:4; Revelation 2:7).  The other was Hell (Deuteronomy 32:22; Proverbs 15:24; Isaiah 5:14; Matthew 10:28; Revelation 20:14).

That God has warned, us of these two places, that Jesus came to tell us from first hand knowledge of these two places is a an great kindness.  But Jesus never physically forced people to believe.  But He did command that we do believe this truth.  In commanding us to believe in His words was also a kindness.  Firstly, the command is to show His authority.  Secondly, it is to hlep us to see the importance of His words.  Thirdly, by commanding us to believe – without threat of physically punishment, but rather to respect our sovereign right to individual choice, Jesus is urging us to do the good and the right thing.  Fourthly, in that He commands us He is speaking by an act of love. Fifthly, the command is not just arbitrary, but authorized by His and our Father in Heaven.

If you choose to dismiss this truth now in this life, you will know it is true when you stand before Him and give an acount of your life.  But then, it will be too late.  Today is the day of salvation.  Obey Him today.

Jesus was willing to die for them and take away all their sins, even the sins of the whole world.  So as God’s Lamb for the sacrifice for sins, He laid down His life that we might be freed from the tyrrnay of sin, the wolrd, the flesh and the devil, and enter into His eternal kingdom and have His eternal life.

Muslims are taught:

…that Jesus Christ is not God; that God has no Son.

…that Jesus is only a prophet and a good teacher, but  He is subordinate to Mohammed.

…that the Bible never says explicitly that Jesus said “I am God”.

But the Imams are ignorant of the truth of Jesus Christ.  If they knew the truth they would not continue in the lie known as ‘Islam’….and the worship of Allah.

May God, the Creator of the physical heavens and earth and the seas, and all in them, open their eyes  to the truth of Jesus Christ.  And it is only God Who CAN open our spiritual eyes.

The doctrine of the New Testament and the Old Testament

clearly distinguish

the message of Jesus Christ

the message of Muhammad.

Here is a challenge for every Muslim.

Dear Muslim, you say you have the truth, and that ‘Allah’ is the God of truth.  That there is no truth apart from your god Allah.  You say that Isa Al Masih in the Qu’ran is the true Jesus.

1.  Read the Qu’ran again, and make a note in a notebook of every time Isa Al Masih is spoken of, and include in your notes the things that the Qu’ran says about Isa.

2. Then compare all the comments the Qu’ran says of Isa and see if they are all consistent, that is agreeing with each other comment, or do they contradict each other.  Ask Allah to help you understand his book.

3. Next, read the Injil, the Book of the Christians and list in the same manner what the injil says about Jesus Christ, and see if all the statements in the Injil agree or disagree with one another.

4. Then compare the Qu’ranic statement about Isa Al Maasih with the Injil statements about Jesus Christ.  Ask the God of Abraham to show you the truth.  Ask Jesus Christ to help you understand His book.

The teaching of Islam says Allah is the one true God.  Is he?

Are you absolutely sure?

Does Allah answer your prayers?

Do you have a relationship with him?

We are entitled to ask honest hard questions.  Every body is.  Truth can stand up to any kind of scrutiny.  Truth will continue after man breathes his last breath.

Let us compare these names of Allah given in the Qu’ran, with that which is attributed to Isa Al Masih – Jesus Christ, and let us do so with an honest heart.

Allah is said to have (at least) 99 names, and each of those 99 names are names of Allah, the God of Islam (source:

Each of these names of Allah are said to be equal to the name of God.  In other words Allah can say I am The Merciful, or that a Muslim can validly address him as such, and this is the same as saying ‘God’.

Muslims are told this is not a valid approach concerning Jesus Christ.

For all you truth loving Muslims out there, whether a Mufti, a Mulla, an Imam, or a scholar, or just a devout muslim, Do you know what the Qu’ran says about Jesus – Isa?

Once again, I urge you to investigate carefully and prayerfully, noting down everything that the Qu’ran itself has to say about Isa Al Masih – Jesus the Christ, of Nazareth, son of (Mariam) Mary.

And then as I have suggested, compare everything that the New Testament Scriptures says about Jesus Christ, and also Isaiah chapters 53 and 61  in the Old Testament.

Below is a short list of the many names of Allah.  I will look at just 3 names of Allah, and leave the reader to examine the other names in the light of what is written of Jesus Christ in the New Testament.

Each of the three mentioned here are followed by some New Testament statements of Jesus Christ related to the detail given in these names of Allah.  Some comment may follow.  (Scriptures mostly LITV 2001 edition, or – sourced)

Islam: “As Salam” –

Allah is The Source of Peace.

Here Allah is described as the Source of PeaceAny peace that a muslim may receive must then come from Allah who is his God.

Does Allah give peace to the Muslim’s heart, mind and soul?

Is Allah willing to give peace to Muslims?

Do Muslims ask Allah for that peace which is said to be in him, that they too may have peace in their heart, their mind and soul?

Jesus said-  I leave peace to you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be timid (afraid). John 14:27

1.  Jesus gave peace.  2. it is His peace. 3. His giving is different to the world’s giving.

Here Jesus declares He can give peace “My peace I GIVE to you”, not just to one person but to many, for He speaks to all His disciples.  In order to lawfully give something, one must have it as a their own possession to lawfully give away.

Jesus says that the peace He gives is not the kind of peace that this world gives Jesus always instructed His disciples to do in the same manner and spirit what He did and would do, as Matthew 10:8, and 2 Corinthians 9:7 show.

What Jesus describes here in John 14:27 is clearly pointing to a non-human quality and resource; an abundant supply of peace that the world does not have, therefore cannot give.

If you study the life of Jesus Christ in the four Gospel accounts you will see a remarkable degree of peace ruling in His life.  Where did it come from? Allah?  No.  It was His by divine right.  Jesus said that the Father in Heaven had given Him (Jesus) to have life in Himself, and that life is impregnated with peace.

Did Muhammad excercise such peace in the face of conflict?

Jesus never killed one single person.  He never ordered the killing of, or the physical harm or subdugation of anyone.  No one.

Jesus said to Pontius Pilate the Governor of Judea, “If My kingdom was of this world then My servants would fight (with swords and material weapons).”  John 18:36

Peter pulled out a sword in the Garden of Gethsemane, and in anger cut off a fellow’s ear. He was firmly rebuked for doing so by Jesus.  Jesus DID  NOT in any way condone physical violence against individuals even if they hated Him.  Yet Jesus was no whimp.  Read the gospel accounts and you will find this to be the case.

Muhammad seems to have had a completely opposite view to Jesus.

Jesus taught to love your enemies.  Pray for them.   Do good to them.  Care for them as you would care for yourself regardless of their treatment of you.  That was not the message of Muhammad.

If Allah is truly the only Source of Peace, then Jesus must have got His peace from Allah.  Did He?

Jesusin the Injil never makes any mention of Allah.  In fact, it is said in the Qu’ran that Allah says that Isa (Jesus Christ) is his messenger,  and is ranked with Allah, both being described as Lord.  Yet why is it that Jesus makes no mention of Allah in the Holy Bible – New Testament?

Did Muhammad get any peace from Allah?  Do you dear Muslim, get peace of mind and  soul from Allah?

It is said that Allah is Al – Karim, The Generous.  If he truly is The Generous, and He is the Source of Peace, then surely that entitles  every Muslim as one of Allah’s children, at least to ask for a little portion of his peace, that peace he claims to have.  A just and good and benevolent king of a kingdom will apportion his riches to his subjects.  One who claims to be so good as Allah does, would surely share that goodness – his peace, liberally with his followers.

This is exactly what Jesus Christ does.

But in Jn 14:27, Jesus says it is “My peace” – His own peace that He gives;  Jesus DOES NOT say “I give to you My Father’s peace”, nor did He say, I give to you Allah’s peace”.  Jesus describes the peace He gives as His own peace.  This is the same as Jesus saying – “I am the Source of Peace, and I am giving it to you (the many)”.  He is called the Prince of peace in Isaiah 9:6.  However, Jesus made it clear that the things that He had as His own were also the very same things that His Father in Heaven had too.

Does Allah, who is said to be the Source of Peace, give you dear Muslim friend, freely and generously, peace such as the world cannot give or even has to give?

Paul says of Jesus For He is our peace, He making us both one, and breaking down the middle wall of partition, Eph 2:14.

This is a very strong statement by Paul.  It does not disagree with Jesus’ own comment about Himself.  Rather, it agrees with it.

Again Paul says to all those who are in Rome, beloved of God, called-out saints: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 1:7

Not just from ‘our Father’ – God, but also FROM the Lord Jesus Christ.

PaulThen being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, Romans 5:1  Paul says we can have peace with God and that peace comes through our Lord Jesus Christ.

As a Muslim, do you have peace with Allah?  And if Muhammed is greater than Jesus Christ, then he is greater in generosity, and in peace.  Does your peace with Allah come through Muhammed his prophet? If Muhammad is a greater prophet than Jesus, and Jesus had remarkable and beautiful peace – which He called His own, and which He gave to His disciples, then surely Muhammad must have had even a greater degreee of peace than Jesus.

If this was so, where then do we see the peace that ruled in Muhammad’s life to the same degreee as it showed in Jesus’ life?

Paul says the same thing of Jesus Christ in 2 Corinthians 1:2; Galatians 1:3; Philippians 1:2; Colossians 1:2; 1 Thessalonians 1:1; 2 Timothy 1:2; 2 Timothy 2:22; Titus 1;4; Philemon 1:3; 2 John 1:3.

Every one who honestly truly believes and continues to believe in Jesus Christ as the Scriptures say, till their dying day, can experience a peace of soul far exceeding any peace that the world has t offer, and which staggers natural reasoning.   This peace of God through Jesus Christ undergirds the believing soul in all kinds of difficulties and circumstances, trials and troubles.

“The proof of the pudding is in the eating.” We can talk all day about peace and how much peace somebody has, but unless we know it by experience, we are just talking.  It is just information.  If Jesus raved on about how much peace He had, but was not willing to give that peace to those whom He loved, it would have been just all talk.

The proof that someone has something and lots of it to give away without depleting their own resource of it, is by the act of someone else receiving it who can then benefit from it.

It stands to reason if Allah is the Source of Peace and he is truly Generous, the proof of such a thing is that one who believes in Allah should be able to at least ask and obtain a fragment of that peace which is his.   Ask him.  Ask him, my friend.  Surely if he is God, he will give you his peace.

It is said that Allah is merciful and gracious.  This in plain language means that what you don’t deserve and don’t have he is willing to give to you because he is gracious and meciful.  Gracious means to favour, bestow, to give, etc. Merciful means full of pity, or compassion, kindness, forgiveness, benevolence – or generosity.  Not just a little bit but in great measure.

If Muhammad was truly Allah’s greatest messenger, then as such Muhammad should have been able to diplay peace far greater than Jesus Christ did.

Islam: Al- Hakam,  The Judge.

Allah is The Judge.

Jesus Christ

“For God did not send His Son into the world that He might judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.”  John 3:17

This refers to Jesus’ first coming as the Son of man, who, having been conceived*** by the Holy Ghost was born of the virgin Mary – (Myriam (Mariam -Maria).  Joseph was not involved in Jesus’ conception.  The Holy Spirit did not apply the process of conception as men need to do.

(The conception of Jesus Christ in the womb of Myriam was not through the means of conception given to mankind.  God works miracles supernaturally, that is, above or outside the realm of the laws of natural operations.  The conception of Jesus Christ was a miracle beyond human understanding.  all the miracles which God does requires faith in God to believe it will happen just as God has said.  Myriam replied to the angel sent from God’s presence, “be it to me, just as you have said”  – just as God has told you to say.  She simply believed God would do what He said He would do.  God is pleased when we exercise such simple faith.  Children in the innocency have such childlike faith.  And without that kind of faith in God, in Jesus Christ, we will not enter into the kingdom of GOD.

The very ground – dirt we stand on is such a miracle.  God made the earth – with all its dirt from nothing.  That is a miracle.)

Jesus said of Himself – “The one who rejects Me and does not receive My Words has that judging him: the Word which I spoke, that will judge him in the last Day.”  John 12:48   Jesus  who spoke those words, will have all men satnd before Him, and He will telll us that we are judged by the word already spoken and written.

“And He commanded us to proclaim to the people and to witness solemnly that it is He who has been marked out by God to be Judge of the living and the dead.”  Acts 10:42

“…because He set a day in which “He is going to judge the habitable world in righteousness,” by a Man whom He appointed; having given proof to all by raising Him from the dead.”  Acts 17:31; (see Psa. 9:8)

Paul says about those who think that God is unjust in executing vengeance on the disobedient – “Let it not be! Otherwise, how will God judge the world?  Romans 3:6

“Then I solemnly witness before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, He being about to judge the living and dead at His appearance and His kingdom: ” 2 Timothy 4:1

“Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge fornicators and adulterers. ” Hebrews 13:4

“who will give account to Him having readiness to judge the living and dead.”  1Pe_4:5

Islam Al – Ba’ith,

Allah is The Resurrector

Jesus Christ

Jesus said to her, I am the Resurrection and the Life. The one believing into Me, though he die, he shall live.  John 11:35.

Paul desired to know Jesus Christ increasingly in this way..”to know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, having been conformed to His death,” Philippians 3:10

Here we have 2 statements of Jesus Christ being both The Resurrection, and, that resurrection power is His, and that it can be known in the life of a believer of Jesus Christ.

Islam: Ash- Shahid, Allah is The Witness

Jesus Christ…Acts 10:43; Revelation 1:5; Revelation 3:14;

Islam: Al- Haqq, Allah is The Truth

Jesus Christ…John 14:6; Ephesians 4:21.

Islam: Al-Muhyi, Allah is The Giver of Life

Al-Qayyum The Self existing One

Al-Qadir The All Powerful

Al-Awwal The First

Al-Akhir The Last

An-Nur The Light

So we can see the comparisons between Allah’s names and the ‘names by which Jesus Himself or His apostles identify Jesus by.

Dear Muslim  friend, I put it to you to ask the God of Abrahm to reveal Himself to you.  Ask with an honest and true heart.  Listen to what he has to say and follow what He says.

May the God of Abrahm give you His everlasting peace, and be your Resurrection and Life.
