Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

Psalm 122:6

The Bible speaks of two Jerusalems.

An earthy one

and

a Heavenly one.

The heavenly one needs no one to pray for its peace, because the Prince of Peace dwells there, and it cannot be other wise than filled with His peace.

The prayer David requests is for the earthly Jerusalem.

“During its long history, Jerusalem has been destroyed 2 times, besieged 23 times, attacked 52 times, and captured and recaptured 44 times. The oldest part of the city was settled in the 4th millennium BCE, making Jerusalem one of the oldest cities in the world.”  Wikipedia

But the world leaders are trying to bring peace produced by themselves to Jerusalem.  This cannot work neither is it the peace that David is speaking about.

David is talking about the peace that only God can bring in His time in His way.

No pope, no dictator, no king, no president, no prime minister, no army, no economic arrangement, can bring a lasting peace to Jerusalem.

The  only peace that will last is that which God has provided through His Son – Jesus Christ the Prince of Peace.  He is the true King of Jerusalem and of all Israel and the rightful King of all the antions of the earth.

In the days soon to come, a world leader will arise and produce a pseudo peace, a Claytons peace, a sugar coated peace which will have a very bitter and ugly centre.  This world leader will declare himself to Christ come in the flesh, even ‘God’ himself.

And He will deceive the earth

by the many signs and wonders he will perform

and what his prophet will perform in his name.

But do not believe him nor bow down to him nor give any credence to him.

Do not take his name or mark or number though he will threaten you with death and your loved ones, including your little babies.

DO NOT FEAR HIM.

Though he will have power to take your physical life even in most vile and horrible ways, he will not be able to touch your soul.

These sorrows must come, but they will pass.

And he who has elevated himself –

(the Beast

for as his title is,

so will be his character

– though not seen at first),

in this manner, saying…

I will ascend into heaven,

I will exalt my throne above the stars of God:

I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation,

in the sides of the north:
Isa 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds;

I will be like the most High.

Isaiah 14.

Even he will be cast down to the Fire

“And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. ” Revelation 19:20

prepared for the devil and his angels

“And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”

Revelation 20:10

So be wise and seek Jesus Christ.

He is not only the Prince of Peace who will bring peace to Jerusalem,

but He is your Peace

and He has broken down every spiritual wall

that separated you from Father God.

The time has come for you to be saved.  DO NOT DELAY

Jesus waits for you to run to Him and cry out for mercy and forgiveness.

Repent from your sins.

Turn to God who made you.

Obey the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ

“Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart,

and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles,

Men and brethren,

WHAT SHALL WE DO?
 Then Peter said unto them,

Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ

for the remission of sins,

and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
For the promise is unto you,

and to your children,

and to all that are afar off,

even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”

Acts 2:37-39

“And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.
And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

Mark 10:46-52

Behold, suddenly He comes!

 Behold,

he cometh with clouds;

and every eye shall see him,

and they also which pierced him:

and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him.

Even so,

Amen.

Revelation 1:7

“And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
Which also said,

Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven?

this same Jesus,

which is taken up from you into heaven,

shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”

Acts 1:10, 11
