What is your future?
Where is your future?
When is your future?
You have a future for your mortal life and a future for your eternal soul and spirit.
Your real future is not tied up in a job, or a retirement. It is not tied up in investment port folios. It is not tied up in hobbys, or trivial pursuits, games, sports, abilities, or skills.
Your future is tied up in what you believe. If you believe in your own goodness and your own religion or lack of it – such as agnosticism, or atheism, then your future will be revealed to you in time, and you will find that what you had hoped for will not be what you receive.
If you believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord, your Saviour, Your God, and your only hope and life, wether you have little or much, your future will be secure after this life on earth is over. And it will be over for all one day.
Every future has a door, just as every building, every vehicle, plane, or ship has a door.
Every dwelling has a door – at least one.
Whether rich or poor, child or adult, king or servant, people go through a door to get into a room or house or building.
There is a the account of a paralysed man who was carried about on a stretcher by four friends. The house they wanted to get into was crowded, even to the door way, so they had no way of getting in to ask Jesus Christ of Nazareth to heal him. So they got up on the roof, perhaps via a stairway, and tore off some of the tiles and made a hole large enough to lower their friend down with ropes onto the floor in front of Jesus. No doubt people would have squeezed up closer to each other to make room for this most unusual entrance. Jesus saw the faith of the four friends and healed the man. God always rewards faith. In this case, the men were motivated by love for their friend, and that is truly the kind of faith that Jesus is pleased with – faith bound up in love.
The paralysed man who was healed had a doorway of faith opened up to him. That faith led him to Jesus Christ.
Without faith it is impoossible to please God. Those who came to God must believe that He is and the He is a rewarder of thsoe who diligently seek Him – Hebrews 11:6
Jesus Christ of Nazareth made an amazing statement about Himself. He said that He is the Door! He did not say – I am a door, but THE Door! – which rather irritates a lot of people. People want options.
I am the Door; if any man ented in he shall be saved – John 10:9
Usually the bigger the house one can have the more doors there are in it. A building will have many doors. But usually there is one or maybe two entrances to any building and one or two exits for people, and perhaps another or so for delivery purposes.
We are told in the New Jerusalem City of Heaven there are Twelve huge gates. But there is only one way to get into Heaven. That Way is jesus Christ. He is the Door.
Every religion of man says that there are many ways to ‘god’…just like the saying that All roads lead to Rome.
But God who has made Heaven has made provision for only one entry – we must go through Jesus Christ. There is no other way.
Be sure, very sure of your eternal future.
Every person wants a taste of heaven. They even make things to eat with the word heaven or heavenly attached, or paradise. They want the weather to be nice and just like paradise. The desire for Heaven is in the soul of every person.
Unless you call upon the name of Jesus Christ for Him to save you from sin, from hell, from satan, from guilt and shame, from eternal misery, you cannot be saved. adn if your are not saved form sin , death and Hell
You must believe in Jesus Christ of Nazareth as the only Way to the Father in Heaven, the only Door to Heaven, the only Saviiour for mankind, the only Redeemer for your soul, and you must call upon the name that God has given to men to call upon..
For there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.
Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all who are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. Acts 2:38, 39.
Read the Scriptures of the Holy Bible daily and walk in obedience to God. Ask God – Jesus Christ, to reveal Himself to you. Pray and forgive all who offend you, so that you may be forgiven by your Father in Heaven. Prepare your life and heart to meet Jesus Christ. Be filled with the love of God and His grace, and let Jesus Christ lead you in paths of righteousness and holiness to the only Future that is worth anything of lasting value.
…I go to prepare a Place (a Future) for you. and if I go, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. John 14
